Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Monday filed 3,777 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation. It also realized over Taka 18.20 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation, said an official press release.
Of the total cases, 546 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 43 for using hydraulic horn, four for using hotter and beckon light and nine others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1391 cases against motorcycles and seized 105 others for violation of the traffic rules.
