Stay away from drugs: DMP Commissioner asks police personnel

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam highlighted the tough stance of the police against drugs on Monday.
Many people have already lost their jobs due to their drug addiction. How hard life is can be understood if the uniform comes down from the body. Say no to drugs, always stays away from it, he said at a DMP welfare meeting at Rajarbagh Police Lines yesterday. In this special welfare meeting, the commissioner listened to the advantages, disadvantages and various issues of the force.
DMP commissioner said, “There is no alternative to awareness in preventing corona. More than 3,000 DMP members have been affected by Corona. Of them, 24 members have died. The policeman suffering from corona has been given the best treatment in the country from the Central Police Hospital.”
He said that in order to ensure the treatment of the force, a private hospital has been rented at full initiative by the IGP.
It is our job to look after the welfare of the police personnel working in the DMP. We are by your side to the best of our ability. In the special welfare meeting, to ensure welfare for the Coronation Force is informed.
The presentation highlighted the steps taken to improve the dining and barracks of the force in Corona situation, supply of medicines to increase the body’s immunity, supply of necessary number of health care equipment, police lines including barracks and regular spraying of disinfectants in various police offices. Additional Commissioner of DMP, Joint Commissioners of Police, Deputy Commissioners of Police and other officers of various ranks were present at the meeting.
