Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 50 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs conducting drives in different parts of the city during last 24 hours till 6am on Thursday.
Police arrested 50 drug traffickers with huge narcotics during the anti-drug drives, a DMP press release said.
The law enforcers also seized 242 grams of heroin, 22.730 kilograms of cannabis (ganja), 3,921 pieces of yaba tablets and 30 bottle of phensidyle from the arrestees’ possessions, it said, reports BSS.
Police filed 42 cases against the arrestees with respective police stations under the Narcotics Control Act.
