Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 30 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs during anti-narcotics drives in the capital in the last 24 hours till 6am Thursday. The Detective Branch (DB) of the DMP in association with local police stations carried out the simultaneous drive starting at 6am on Wednesday. A total of 257 piece yaba tables, 58.910 kg hemp, 15 ampoules of sedative injections, 29.520 grams heroin and 37 bottles phensedyl were recovered the arrestees’ possession.
A total of 22 cases were filed with different police stations under the narcotics Control Act over the arrest and drug recovery.
