Abanti Sithi is a hawker of music. Now she is studying in chemistry in Jahangirnagar University. She was attached with her university’s cultural organisation, Anandan.
She regularly renders song in university’s different programmes. Recently she watched a video of Hindi song on Facebook. It was cups song and she really became impressed to watch the song.
Later she started to render this type of song using different instruments. She got huge response after publishing new performance.
For the first time, Sithi is coming with a cups song with DJ Rahat. While talking in this regard he told this correspondent, “It will be the first cups song in Bangladesh which has been recorded in studio. Title of the song is Sona Bondhu Rey. It is a new version of Mujib Pardeshi’s a song. Its lyrics were written by Hasan Motiur Rahman where Shefali Ghosh composed its music. Sithi has rendered the song well.”
Sithi shared her feelings by this way, “Rahat Bhai has composed the song to keep original tune of the song. We have tried our level best to render the song properly. In future, we will make its music video. Shuvobrata Sarkar will give its direction.”
