Divisional level talent hunt and training programme of Sheikh Kamal Athletics Academy concluded on Thursday last in Rangamati.The 14-day talent hunt programme was inaugurated on August 5 last on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shaheed Captain Sheikh Kamal, according to a Bangladesh Athletics Federation (BAF) press release issued in Dhaka on Saturday.
BAF’s vice-president Faruqul Islam was present as the chief guest in the closing ceremony of the talent hunt programme and distributed the certificates among the participants.
On the occasion, Secretary of Chattogram Divisional Women’s Sports Association Shormistha Roy, General Secretary of Rangamati Hill District Women’s Sports Association Nirupa Dewan, General Secretary of District Sports Association Mohammad Shafiul Azam and National Sports Awardee and legendary athlete Milzar Hossain were also present, among others, reports BSS.Coach Murtuza Iqbal Noori and Assistant Coach Ratan Barua trained 20 selected U-16 talented athletes in the talent hunt programme.
The BAF formed the Sheikh Kamal athletics academy to find talented athletes from entire the country in order to guide them to make future stars of the sports.
