A seminar styled as ‘Divisional level Seminar on Integrated Approach to covid, Response Lessons and Future plans in Barishal’ held at District Shilpakala Academy auditorium, Barishal on Saturday.
Senior Secretary of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Lokman Hossain Mia was present as the chief guest at the seminar organised by the Barishal Divisional Administration and Health Department.
Director General of the Health Department Dr. Abul Basar Mohammad Khurshid Alam was present as a special guest. Divisional Commissioner Saiful Hasan Badal presided over the seminar.
Speakers of the programme thanked for the success of ‘Barishal Model’ over Covid Management in Barishal division.
Speakers at the meeting added that Barishal model means timely team work. All of the people involved in covid management make decisions jointly.
As a result of this team work and management solved most of the problems during worse situation of corona infection including ICU problem in Barishal, lift problem in Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, medical wastage management problem.
At the seminar, Senior Secretary Lokman Hossain Miah announced that this Barishal model of success would be spread to eight other divisions of the country.
Director General of health department said recruitment process for vacant posts in health sector is going to be started across the country including Barishal.
He also announced that the installation of oxygen production unit at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital would be installed quickly.
