DIU team visits KISS under Int’l exchange program

An 18-member team of community volunteer leaders comprising students and officials from Daffodil International University (DIU) has recently participated in the International Volunteer Exchange Program, jointly organized by KIIT University and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in Odisha, India.
During the visit the students of DIU participated in different services to unleash their volunteerism. On the very first day, students along with the officials of DIU visited the whole premises of KIIT University & KISS. While visiting the area of KISS, they had been acknowledged by the tremendous management systems of KISS for providing the fundamental rights of a human being by giving foods, clothes, accommodation, vocational training, medical treatments and sports with free of cost. The community leaders of DIU started their activities from the second day, dividing into small groups for conducting classes on painting, dancing, computer basic skills and so on. They also served foods to 10,000 students.
There were training sessions on Scouts, workshop on Social Business conducted by the SBSF leaders of DIU. Besides enlightening the students of KISS, the team also attended a conference on Indian Culture. There they have got a brief knowledge on the vast, dynamic and diverse cultures of India.
 On the day of grand farewell ceremony, the students met with Professor Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT University and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) at his office. Apart from volunteer work they had several visits to natural and cultural heritage of Odisha, like Tribal Museum, Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves, Sun Temple, Puri Beach etc.
Daffodil International University always believes in Internationalization and cross-cultural program. Keeping this spirit in mind, DIU is extending its activities to worldwide for the betterment of its students and academic staffs.
