Campus Report :

The orientation programme for the students of Spring-2015 semester of Department of Pharmacy of Daffodil International University (DIU) was held on Saturday at DIU Auditorium.
M Mosaddek Hossain, Vice-President, Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh and Managing Director, UniMed and UniHealth Manufacturers Ltd was present as the chief guest while Prof Dr M Lutfar Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of DIU was present as the special guest.
Presided over by Muhamamd Arifur Rahman, Head of the Department of Pharmacy, the function was addressed by Prof Dr M Golam Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Ahmed Ismail Mustafa, Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Science and Prof Dr Golam Mawla Choudhury, Controller of Examination and Proctor of DIU.
Addressing as chief guest, M Mosaddek Hossain said there is enough scope for a pharmacist to build their career in the pharmaceutical sector, as there is a huge demand for qualified pharmacists in the country. Pharmacist currently works as a part of drug distribution system, research area, regulatory team, production and quality control. He also said, without pharmacist, no healthcare system can function properly. Md. Arifur Rahman welcomed the students and said DIU provides its students best available resources to pursue their studies and hone their skills. The programme was conducted by Shahnaj Akter and Mahfuzur Rahman, students of Pharmacy department.
