To mark the Mujib Birth Centenary celebration, Daffodil International University (DIU) organized a seminar on ‘Unconditional Love: Story of Adoption of 1971 War Babies’ on Satur at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil International University (DIU).
Mustafa Chowdhury, Freelance Researcher and writer was present at the seminar as the keynote speaker. Presided over by Prof Dr Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of DIU, the seminar also addressed by Prof Dr SM Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro Vice Chancellor, Mominul Haque Majumder, Treasurer, Prof Dr Ahmad Ismail Mostafa, convener of Mujib Birth Centenary celebration committee of DIU and Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Science, Prof AMM Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Prof Dr Farhana Helal Mehtab, Associate Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science and Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director, Student Affairs.
While addressing as the keynote speaker, Mustafa Chowdhury said that the history of liberation war has been written the initiative of government of non-government organization. Many archives such as Dhaka University Library, Public Library etc. hasliberation war corner but there is no document on war babies. It’sregretted me a lot. After that I feel interest to do research on 71 war babies.
Mustafa Chowdhury write a book titled ‘Unconditional Love: Story of Adoption of 1971 War Babies’ according on that research. The book has been published through Bengali and English language. Mustafa Chowdhury said, the book was written on Bangladeshi war babies who’s lives in Canada. But war babies are not lives in Canada, they also lives in all over the world. War babies are also in Bangladesh. But they are not interested to come forward still now. He asked young students to write this untold story.
