The 1st meeting of the ACM-ICPC 2018 (Association of Computing Machinery- International Collegiate Programming Contest 2018) Asia Regional Dhaka Site called by Regional Contest Director Prof Syed Akhter Hossain was held on Saturday at the Conference Room of Daffodil International University (DIU) presided over by Prof Dr Yousuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor of DIU. The meeting declares that ACM- ICPC Dhaka Regional Site 2018 will be hosted with prestige and pride of DIU at green Permanent Campus of the university on November 10, 2018.
At the beginning of the meeting the Regional Contest Director Prof Dr Syed Akhter Hossain, Head of CSE Department, DIU delivered the concept on hosting the ACM-ICPC Dhaka Regional 2018 through presentation and pointed out the planning for smooth implementation of the ACM-ICPC 2018 Asia Regional Dhaka Site.
The meeting expressed their great concern to make the event remarkable in the history of Bangladesh and bring out put in World Finals through this contest.
The meeting was attended by Prof Dr Abul L Haque, Chief Coordinator, ACM-ICPC Contest Council of Bangladesh and Former Director, ACM-ICPC Dhaka Site. Shariar Manjoor, Co-Chair and judging Director of ACM ICPC, Prof Dr SM Mahabub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Engr AKM Fazalul Haque, Registrar, Prof Golam Mawla Chowdhury, Proctor of DIU, Engr Enamul Kabir from Bangladesh Computer Council, Prof Dr Towhid Bhuiyan from Software Engineering Department, Prof Md. Mostafa Akbar from BUET, Prof MA Mottalib from BRAC University, Prof Dr Utpal Kanti Das from IUBAT, Prof Dr Ameer Ali from BUBT, Dr Sazzad Hossain from North South University, Hasnain Heikel Jami from University of Dhaka, Saifur Rahman from BUBT and other high officials of DIU and SSL Wireless.
