Campus Report :A seminar on “English Foundation Program and Feedback” was organized by Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Daffodil International University (DIU) in association with Dept. of English of the university on Thursday. Prof Dr Yoursuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor of the university was the chief guest at the program while Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Md. Golam Rahman was present as special guest. English Specialist Professor Claire Bradin Siskin was the key resource person in the seminar. The seminar was moderated by Ummey Kulsum, Head, Dept. of English.Prof Claire Bradin Siskin, English Specialist made some recommendations for achieving focused oriented results. She urged the teachers to stress on using more IT as a tool to learn English. Prof Yousuf M Islam argued that in the twenty first century, English is a communicative tool and foundation of English should be stronger to get success in the competitive world. 80 faculties of English Department of the university under six groups highlighted their vision, mission and strategic goals in the seminar.Prof Aminul Islam, Founder Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr M Lutfar Rahman, Former Vice Chancellor, Prof Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Prof Dr Engr AKM Fqazlul Haque, Registrar, Md. Emran Hossain, Director (Administration), Prof Dr Md. Fokhray Hossain, Additional Director, IQAC, Heads of different departments were present in the program.
