The orientation program for the newly enrolled undergraduate students of Fall-2016 semester of Daffodil International University (DIU) was held on Saturday at the Permanent Campus Auditorium of the university.
Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU was present as the chief guest at the orientation program. Prof Dr Yousuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor, DIU presided over the program. The function was also addressed by Prof Dr SM Mahbub-Ul-Haque Majumder, Acting Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Prof AMM Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Prof Dr Engr AKM Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, Prof Dr Golam Maowla Choudhury, Prof Dr Mostafa Kamal, Director (Permanent Campus), Prof Dr Syed Akter Hossain, Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Md. Golam Sarwar, guardian, Mukta Basu, guardian and newcomer student Rima Akter.
Addressing as the chief guest Md. Sabur Khan said that, DIU is trying to build the students in such a way so that they can contribute to build prosperous Bangladesh He urged the students to be obedient and loyal to their parents at any cost at any stage of their life and he stressed that only the triangular relationship and strong bonding of parents-students-teachers can play a vital role to build a prospective career for a students. DIU is working seriously to improve this triangular relationship.
