The orientation program for the newly enrolled undergraduate students of Fall Semester-2017 of Daffodil International University (DIU) was held on Friday at Shadhinata Auditorium of the Permanent Campus of DIU.
Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU was present as chief guest at the orientation program. Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr Yousuf M Isalm presided over the orientation program.
The orientation program was also addressed by Prof Dr SM Mahbub Ul Haque Majukder, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof Rafiqul Islam, Dean Faculty of Business and Economics, Prof Dr Ahmed Ismail Mustafa, Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Prof Dr Mostafa Kamal, Dean (Permanent Campus), Prof Dr Farid A Sobhani, Dean (HRDI) Prof Dr Golam Maowla Chowdhury, Controller of Examinations, Prof Dr Engr AKM Fazlul Hoque, Registrar and all Head of the Department,
The daylong program started with national anthem assembled all together. The daylong program included Bus Rally, Project Exhibition, Departmental display, Games and sports and gala Cultural Program. Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju, Director Student Affair’s conducted the interactive program where a large number of parents and guardians took part and exchanged their views. Around 3000 students, parents and guardians took part in the day long program
Md. Sabur Khan said that, DIU is trying to build the students in such a way so that they can contribute to build prosperous Bangladesh who are the main assets to meet the goal.
The main focus of the university is to build technology and sports oriented graduates and create new entrepreneurs, he added.
“We have already finalized master plan of our permanent campus and development work is going on in full suing accordingly. We provide students with world- class facilities for education, he added.
He also said, and our dream is to uphold the university among internationally renowned top ranked universities and accordingly university authority is working tirelessly.
