Daffodil International University (DIU) has recently started its Faculty of Engineering. A seminar entitled “Quality Engineering Education in Bangladesh” in this connection was held at DIU Auditorium.
Prof Dr M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of the university was the chief guest in the launching program. Prof Dr AMM Safiullah, Former VC, BUET and VC of AUST was the keynote speaker at the seminar.
Prof Mashud Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Textile Manufacturing Engineering, BUTEX was present as a discussant. Prof Dr M Shamsul Alam, Dean, Faculty of Engineering Presided over the program. The program was also addressed by Emeritus Proffessor of DIU Prof Dr Aminul Islam, Prof Dr SM Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Information Technology and Dr AKM Fazlul Haque, Assoiciate Profesor and Head, Dept. of ETE.
Prof Dr AMM Safiullah focused on the parameters of quality engineering educations. Again, he discussed about the different standard conditions of different standardized organizations to qualify enginering education. He shared a philosophical thought that during graduation a student learns how to learn. After the graduation, he starts journey to learn and it continues whole lifetime.
