A 38 member delegate consists of 33 students along with five Faculty Members and two officials of Daffodil International University (DIU) left for Malaysia on Monday to attend Asia Summer Program-2014 at Univeristi Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Malaysia lead by Prof Dr Md Fokhray Hossain, Director, International Affairs. The program starts today at the a beautiful location of Perlis, Malaysia and will continue up to August 25.
This is ever biggest contingent from Bangladesh for an international program called Asia Summer program (ASP) which mainly supported by Asian University Presidents Forum (AUPF). Students and teachers from all around the Asia from 14 universities of 9 countries including Bangladesh are attending this summer program.
The program named Asian Summer Program (ASP) is a three week credit-based program offering innovative prospect of Asia.
It is designed to provide an International Training in Malaysia for the students, with the aim of building Cross-culture communication, Personal soft skill development, Confidence building, Career enhancement as well as mutual friendship among the participating countries. Students will have the chance to adjust these two courses which are going to obtain at Malaysia with their regular courses.
Participating students will experience a highly international environment, allowing them to learn directly about the diverse cultures of Asia.
To become more attractive for foreign students and researchers and to increase its appeal as a world centre for excellence, DIU has joined its name in great initiative named “Asian Summer Program” taken by the Univeristi Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Malaysia.
Last year a group of 12 DIU students and teachers attended the Asia Summer Program-2013 in Korea. Daffodil International University Bangladesh always believes in Internationalization and cross cultural education.
Keeping this spirit in mind DIU is extending its activities to world wide and as a result this year attending Asia Summer Program with great enthusiasm. Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of Daffodil International University congratulated the students and teachers before departing ASP-2014.
