Daffodil International University celebrated its 15th founding anniversary on Saturday with great enthusiasm and in a colorful manner & festive mood at its Ashulia permanent campus. To mark the founding anniversary, a week-long inter department sports competition, Math Olympiad, Inter University cultural competition, IT Quiz have arranged.
Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat, U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh was present as the Guest of honour in the programme. Abdul Matlub Ahmad, President, The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) graced the occasion as the speaker of the foundation day. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University and Chairman, Daffodil Family presided over the ceremony.
The function was addressed, among others by Prof. Dr. Yousuf M Islam, Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. SM Mahbubul Haque Majumder, Hamidul Haque Khan, Treasurer, Prof. Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business & Economics and Prof. M Shamsul Alam, Dean, Faculty of Engineering.
While addressing Bernicat said, one of the strongest connections between Bangladesh and the United States is our profound respect for education, commitment to teaching and passion for learning.
