Daffodil International University celebrated its 12th Foundation Anniversary on Saturday at Ashulia permanent DIU Campus. Dan W. Mozena, Ambassador, Embassy of the United States of America, Dhaka, Bangladesh graced the program. Presided over by Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University, the welcome address was delivered by Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor and vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Dr. M. Mizanur Rahman, Tresurer, Daffodil International University while many other country’s renowned personalities, celebrities and dignitaries attended the program.
To mark the 12th Foundation Anniversary, a weeklong Inter department sports competition, Math Olympiad, Cultural competition, IT Quiz have already arranged. This time Daffodil International University has taken initiative to celebrate the Foundation Anniversary in larger scale with great enthusiasm and in a colorful manner & festive mood. The day long program included Bus Rally, Pitha Utshab, Blood Donation Program, Discussion, Picnic, Tree Plantation Games & Sports, Fun Events & Raffle Draw, Picnic and Live Concert.
Addressing as the chief guest USA ambassador Mr. Dan W. Mozena said, thousands of students of Bangladesh are the builders of Bangladesh today and tomorrow. He said, Bangladesh of my vision is the worlds largest exporter of readymade garments and a huge player in the global marketplace for generic pharmaceuticals, shoes, finished leather goods, small freighters, information technology, shrimp, flowers for the middle east, bone china, jute and silk products.
He also said Bangladesh is a great educator of its children—- boys and girls alike go to high quality primary ans secondary schools and then complete their education at wonderful institutions like Daffodil International University.
