Nazmul Ahsan, an alumnus of Daffodil International University (DIU) and former student of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) of DIU and a freelance journalist, has been awarded the ‘Subir and Malini Chowdhury Fellowship 2021’.
Under this fellowship he will complete his Masters in Investigative Journalism long-form writing and interactive news presentations at the University of California, Berkeley in the United States.
He was awarded the fellowship on the Quality of Life in Bangladesh category, said Subir and Malini Chowdhury Center for Bangladesh Studies.
Nazmul Ahsan completed his graduation on journalism and Mass communication in the JMC department of Daffodil International University. He has worked for The Daily Star, the country’s leading English daily. He made crowd as a young opinion writer in the country’s English daily.
JMC department head and associate professor Dr. Sheikh Shafiul Islam said,Nazmul Ahsan was a meritorious and hardworking student of JMC.
He has caught everyone’s attention by writing for English daily.
