Daffodil International University (DIU) accorded a grand reception to its sponsored golfer Md SH Sohel at university premises on Saturday. Golfer Md SH Sohel became champion in the recently concluded Jaguar Challenge Cup organized by Bangladesh Professional Golfers’ Association (BPGA) at the Kurmitola Golf Club (KGC). Md Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees and Professor Dr M Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of DIU were present in the reception programme. Students, teachers and officials attended at the reception programme.
A total of 67 golfers – 55 professional golfers and 12 amateur golfers took part in the four-day long competition.
Golfer Md SH Sohel is now the top golfer among the professional golfers of Bangladesh. Daffodil International University extends its helping hand and providing all sorts of sponsorships to golfer Md SH Sohel from the very beginning. DIU is proud of his great achievement and believes that it will boost up sportive spirit in the nation.
