Business leaders of the District Chambers demand low interest bank rate for the marginal entrepreneurs of the district level. They also urged FBCCI for necessary support for their infrastructural development to tap the potentials emerged in the district level as Bangladesh has fulfilled the criteria for graduation to a developing nation.
The District Chamber leaders discussed these issues at a meeting of the Council of Chamber Presidents held recently at FBCCI. President of the Council and also the Senior Vice President of FBCCI Sheikh FazleFahim chaired the meeting while FBCCI President Md. Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin) was present as the Chief Guest. FBCCI Vice President MdMuntakim Ashraf was also present. Representatives of 30 district chambers also attended the meeting.
For smoothrunning of their businesses, the district chamber leaders underscored the need for lowering the bank interest rate. They also requested the district administration and the police administration to include the district chamber leaders in various government programs.
The business leaders also demand withdrawal of the gazette published by the Ministry of Commerce for one year gap after two consecutive terms in the executive committee election of the district chambers. The representatives of ‘B’ class chambers also urged FBCCI for up gradation to ‘A’ class chamber.
