Development experts at a seminar have stressed the need for disseminating innovative ideas and exchanging experiences and knowledge in South Asian(SA) countries to boost development process in the region.
South Asian countries need to work together through sharing innovative ideas and knowledge for accelerating their progresses, they told the seminar at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) here on Wednesday.
Access to Information (a2i) Programme of PMO and BRAC Social Innovation Lab jointly organized the seminar on “Innovative projects of Bangladesh, India and Pakistan” aiming to promote innovative ideas and knowledge.
Director of Communality Empowerment Programme, Integrated Development and Targeting Ultra Poor, BRAC Anna Minji, Policy Advisor of a2i programme Anir Choudhury, Acting CEO and CFO of Rural Support Programme network (RSPN) Khaleel Ahmed Tetlay, State Programme Manager of Nidan Ratnish Verma and Manager of Natural Resources of Gram Vikas Chitra Choudhury, among others, addressed the seminar.
Khaleel Ahmed described RSPN as an innovative programme, which is being replicated at national level in Pakistan for improving livelihood of rural people. It can be used in other south Asian countries for enhancing their socio-economic development, he added.
