Disruption of Rly communication causes miseries to passengers

Rail communications on Dhaka-Chittagong routes halted as five bogies of a container-laden train derailed in Fazilpur after miscreants pulled off fishplates.
Confirming the matter to media , Chittagong station master Shamsul Alam said that the accident took place at 5:00am on Wednesday and a rescue train was on the way from Lakhsam .
Railway sources said, the scheduled trains for Dhaka and Sylhet did not leave the station . : Chittagong’s railway links with the rest of the country has snapped after four carriages of a container train derailed in Feni’s Fazilpur.
 The Chittagong-bound train was coming from Dhaka. The carriages derailed around 2:30am Thursday near the Fazilpur Railway Station, it’s Station Master Rakhal Chandra told the New Nation.
He said a rescue train arrived there from Laksam Railway Junction in the morning and have already started to the salvage the derailed carriages. The official said trains on this route presumably will not resume until noon.
Meanwhile, the derailment has left Dhaka-bound Mahanagar Prabhati and Subarna Express, Chittagong-bound Turna Nishitha, Dhaka Mail, Meghna Express and a DEMU train stranded at different stations.
