The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) arranged a discussion programme on ‘Sustainability Reporting and Global Reporting Initiatives’ on Thursday at ICMAB in the capital.
Senior Coordinator of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) South Asia Dr Rubina Sen and Sustainability Consultant of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Pallavi Atre were the resource persons at the discussion, said a press release.
Both the resource persons discussed about the future reporting framework for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by the year 2030.
After their presentation, there was an interactive question and answer session where the participants discussed about the future role that the GRI can play for achieving the SDGs.
President of ICMAB M Abul Kalam Mazumdar, in his welcome address, laid down the importance of GRI for achieving SDGs by 2030 and thus build Bangladesh as a developed nation by 2041.
