Discussants highlighted the important changes and relevant features of the Finance Bill 2018 and how it would impact the business community at large.
The Company Founding Partner Zareen Mahmud Hosein, CPA, FCA conducted the function. Another founding partner Snehasish Barua FCA spoke on the occasion emphasizing the technical matters on Income Tax, VAT & Customs & Excise Duty.
Md. Zakir Hossain, Additional Commissioner of NBR, and Md. Shabbir Ahmed, First Secretary (Tax Policy) of NBR participated in the discussion as guest speakers. They explained the changes on the VAT and Income Tax and such other issues.
Humayun Kabir FCA, former President and Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) chaired the session. Partners of the firm, Fuad Uddin Khan FCA and Sukanta Bhattacharjee FCA, also participated in the event.
Clients of the firm and members of the business community participated in the event. This was followed by a question and answer session, where the participants brought forward their queries. The function ended with an Iftar Mahfil.
