A discussion meeting was held in the headquarters of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in the city on Sunday on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day.
The meeting aimed at creating awareness among the BGB officials and members about autism.
Begum Dilshad Nahar Aziz (the wife of the BGB DG), the chief patron of Simanto Paribar Kalyan Samity was the chief guest of the programme while Major General Aziz Ahmed, Director General of BGB, was present as special guest.
Child Specialist L. Colonel Ismat Ara Begum and Psychologist Nayma Islam (Choyon) also attended the meeting.
Additional Director General of BGB, Brigadier General Md. Taufiqul Hasan Siddiqui also spoke on the occasion.
Begum Dilshad Nahar Aziz handed over various kinds of gift items to the BGB families’ children at the programme.
BGB officials, members and their families also joined the programme.
