Discussion on adolescent, youth friendly health services held

A discussion on adolescent and youth friendly health services was held in the city, with an aim to take the services closer and make it easier to the people in need. Organized recently by Unity for Body Rights (UBR) Bangladesh Alliance, the programme was addressed by Medical Education and Family Welfare Division Secretary M Saleh Uddin as the chief guest.
Executive Director, RHSTEP and UBR2 Programme leader Quazi Suraiya Sultana gave vote of thanks in the function and UBR Steering Committee chair Dr Dibalok Singha gave introductory remarks.
Medical Education and Family Welfare secretary in his speech assured all about including the positive outcome and experience of UBR’a youth-friendly services from last nine years into Health Ministry’s programme. Netherlands Embassy representative Mashfika Zaman Satiyar emphasized on mainstreaming UBR learning lessons, asking those to be shared with the ministry.
The organizers at the function said they are providing advices to establish youth-friendly corner in all the upazila public health service centers with the help of local administrations from 2016.
