A total of 24 persons with disabilities in Rangpur received disable assistive devices including tri-cycles and wheel chair under the project,Securing Employment and Economic Development around Jute Textile and Light Engineering Sector in North-West Bangladesh, on Monday. On the occasion, a discussion was also held at the Meeting room of Practical Action, Rangpur Regional office, Bangladesh Bank More, Dhap. ADD International arranged the function under the project. Enamul Habib, DC, Rangpur addressed the function as the Chief Guest and formally distributed the devices, 23 tri-cycles and 01 wheel chair among the disable people. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Deputy Director, Department of Social Service was present in the programmeas special guest.

Along with representatives from DPO, Rangpur; Arefa Parvin, Programme Officer, ADD International; project officials from Practical Action and RDRS Bangladesh; guardians of disable personand beneficiaries, government stake holders and invited guests including journalists attended the programme.
