Filmmaker Tareque Masud died along with media personality Ashfaque Munier Mishuk, film production crew members Wasim and Jamal and microbus driver Mostafizur Rahman in a fatal road crash on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Ghior Upazila of Manikganj on August 13, 2011 – while returning from the shooting set of his unfinished film Kagojer Phul. August 13 marked the 10th death anniversary of late visionary filmmaker. Nigrohokal famed director Proshoon Rahmaan, who worked with Masud during the last four years of his life, published dozens of columns, tributes and interviews, reminiscing his experience working alongside the Matir Moyna filmmaker, over the course of the last decade. On the 10th death anniversary of Masud, Proshoon
published a collection of his writings in a new book titled Tareq Masud Ebong Tar Swapno-Songkranto. He dedicated the book to the
filmmaker’s son Nishad Masud.
