The present condition of the country’s film arena is not pleasant. There is absence of good display of movies. The construction of modern cinema halls is the demand of the time now. Noted film director Habibul Islam Habib has been vocal for almost three years demanding construction of a modern cinema hall. He said three years ago, he applied for the construction of a cineplex along with the Prime Minister’s Office. Since then, the builder has been committed in his goal of building a cineplex.
Director Habib demanded that one cineplex to be built in each of the 300 constituencies of the country. According to him, it means a parliamentary seat means the address of a region of the country.
Habib said, “If a cineplex is built in a parliamentary seat, we will get 300 cineplexes in the whole country. I think it will play a vital role for the development of cinema. Most recently, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced the construction of 300 cineplexes in 300 parliamentary seats. Not only that, the Prime Minister has also expressed to build one cultural complex in each district. That’s why I am now completely successful after a long struggle.”
“The environment of the cinema hall needs to be improved in time. When people come to watch the movie, they get the opportunity to shop and the food is well organised. Cineplex is needed to ensure a modern environment where people can hang out. Meanwhile, if a good movie is not made, how will a good cinema hall to be built? Many people ask me, I want Cineplex. Let’s say it’s cineplex. Where is the good movie? What good is a cineplex if it doesn’t make good movies? One of my words to them is doesn’t go into this debate before the egg or the chicken. If cineplex is built, good movies will also be made,” said Habib.
