Direct container vessel service between Chittagong Port and the South Korean port ‘Bushan’ became a milestone in shipping service of the country . Earlier the consignments meant for Banglaesh would come from S Korea through Singapore port which need about one and half month.
Now following the direct service from Bushan to Chittagong it will require only 14 days, a port user sources said. The first container vessel in new shipping route from South Korea took berth at NCT Berth No.1 of CP on March 23 last . A reliable sources said the carrying cost of the consignment will be lessened by 30% than the earlier .

Director(Transport) of Chittagong Port Golam Sarwar told The New Nation a south Korean container vessel reached Chittagong from Bushan port by 14 days time l. He informed that Korean container vessel left Bushan port on March 9 last which anchored at CP on March 23 last.
