Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Monday said, decentralization of the activities of Education Ministry is a must to ensure better service for all.
“Many people come to the ministry and the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) to resolve their problem and for other official purposes. A good number of them do not get their expected services.
So, it is emergency to decentralize the ministry’s activities,” she said.
Dipu Moni said this while speaking at the inaugural session of the Education Week- 2019 in the auditorium of the DSHE on Monday.
The Education Week- 2019 will end on June 30.
The Minister said, teachers will be encouraged if they get good behaviour from the ministry’s officials. “Our duty is to serve the teachers and other people cordially and with respect,” she said.
Deputy Minister for Education Ministry Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, Senior Secretary (Secondary and Higher Education) of the ministry Md Sohrab Hossain and acting Secretary (Technical and Madrasa) Jakir Hossain Bhuiyan spoke on the occasion, among others.
