Awami League Presidium Member and Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzaque on Wednesday said the Oikyafront leaders could not confuse diplomats as they do not support any destructive activities.
“The foreign diplomats now want to see a continuous development of Bangladesh . . . so they (diplomats) won’t be confused with wrong information over the elections and other issues,” he told journalists at his Secretariat office after a meeting with the delegation of professors and researchers of University of Western Australia.
He added: “If the Oikyafront leaders give any misinformation to the foreign diplomats, the Awami League is enough capable to face it politically.”
The ruling AL presidium member categorically said everybody wants that rule of law and justice prevails in Bangladesh.
Terming the law enforcement agencies as disciplined and well-organized, the minister said no movement could do any harm to this democratically elected government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
“BNP is a big political party. But their alliance Oikyafront ultimately failed to launch any movements in the past,” Razzque added.
