Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim on Saturday said the government would upgrade diploma medical doctor service into second class.
“I will discuss with the Prime Minister about your service status for improving diploma medical service into second class,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at a big gathering at Lalmatia in the city.
Bangladesh Diploma Medical Association organized the rally with its president Shamsul Huda in the chair.
The rally was also addressed, among others, by lawmaker Habibey Millat, Director General of Health Service Professor Dr Deen M Noorul Haque and Director General of Family Planning Noor Hossain Talukder.
“I will carry out my commitment but you have to give commitment for discharge of your duties to common people with sincerity,” Nasim said.
He said diploma medical doctor’s demand to be implemented completing procedure by the next three months.
