Nilphamari Dimla Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Jayshree Rani Roy has been infected with corona virus. After testing with antigen sample at the Upazila Hospital, she tested positive on Saturday.
Nilphamari Deputy Commissioner Hafizur Rahman Chowdhury confirmed the matter.
He said Dimla Upazila Nirbahi Officer has tested positive. Her treatment is going on at Nilphamari General Hospital.
Meanwhile, four doctors, four nurses and five field level health workers were attacked while trying to provide treatment and services to different patients at the hospital, said Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Kabir.
He added that 242 corona-infected patients were being treated in the district till Saturday.
Of these, 36 are undergoing treatment at General Hospital, five at Saidpur Hospital, and 18 at home isolation and 14 at Rangpur Corona Dedicated Hospital.
