Mumbai: Veteran actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to Lilavati Hospital here on Wednesday morning after he complained of swelling in one of his legs.
“He has been hospitalised today (Wednesday)
morning. He complained of swelling in his right leg,” Saira Banu’s manager Murshid told IANS. The 94-year-old actor is under observation. He took to Twitter to post a series of tweets to confirm that he is doing fine and expressed gratitude towards his well-wishers on the micro blogging site. However, this is not the first time that he has been admitted to the hospital this year.
According to a report by The Indian Express, Kumar was admitted to the same hospital this past April for the treatment of severe fever and nausea. He was discharged from the medical facility after five days.
Kumar’s encounter with health issues dates back to years ago. BBC reports that he was rushed to the same hospital three years ago when he suffered a heart attack. Much to the relief of the entire nation, the doctors claimed that Kumar’s condition was stable and he was subsequently discharged from the hospital a few days later.
