Hailed from Ananda Mohan College area in Mymensingh Nauha Munir Dihan debuted her acting career by late Humayun Ahmed’s short film titled Tahara. It was made for the Swiss government when Dihan was enjoying her childhood life.
Later Dihan acted in Humayun Ahmed’s popular drama serial Nokhkhotrer Raat. But she debuted her film career by Humayun Ahmed’s movie Srabon Megh-er Din. Then she acted in Tanveer Hossain Preobal’s directed movie Somapti.
For the third time Dihan is acting in a movie. That is Animesh Aich’s Bhoyonkor Sundor. She is acting in role of a house owner named Jhumur.
While talking about her third movie Dihan told this correspondent, “Story of Bhoyonkor Sundor is really nice. I am trying my level best to express my role properly in this movie. I believe viewers will enjoy to watch my acting and also the movie.”
During her childhood Dihan learned Kathak and Manipuri dances from Mymensingh Shilpakala Academy. After completing SSC from Vidyamoyee Govt Girls High School and HSC from Muminunnisa Govt Women College in Mymensingh, Dihan came to Dhaka and receiving lessons on Tagore song at Sangeet Bhaban from late Kalim Sharafi.
Right now Dihan is also acting in four drama serials. Of those, three serials – Selai Poribar, directed by Rokeya Prachi; Progga Partomita, directed by Matia Banu Shuku and Juboraj Khan; and Alaspur, directed by Al Hazen are being telecasted on Channel i, ATN Bangla and RTV respectively now.
Therefore, Dihan has also started to take part in shooting of Falguni Hamid’s directed serial Swapner Iraboti. Dihan’s father HM Moniruzzaman was principal of Ananda Mohan College, Mymenisngh. Her elder sister Tanik Munir is working in US Embassy in Bangladesh, while younger sister Tanisha Munir is working in Channel i. With husband Sam Dihan has been passing happy times now. Basically she is engaged with acting and family life, she said.
