Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman stressed the need for developing effective digitized method for checking question paper leakage in the public examinations.
“We are very much committed to ensure healthy and fair practices in the education sector. As part of our sincere efforts, we are working to introduce digitized method for printing and distribution process of question paper to stop leakage,” he said this on Monday while speaking at a seminar here.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering(CSE) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Journey, a voluntary organization, jointly organized the seminar titled “Digital Question method for checking question leakage in public examinations and its reality”.
Education Secretary Md Nazrul Islam Khan, Additional Secretary of the Primary and Mass Education Ministry Dr Ganendra Nath Biswas, Vice Chancellor of BUET Prof Khaleda Ekram, educationists Dr Mohammad Kaikobad, Pro-Vice Chancellor of National University, senior officials, IT experts and engineers, among others, addressed the seminar with chairman of CSE Department of BUET Dr Mahfuza Khan in the chair.
Prof of CSE Department of BUET Dr Mohammad Mostafa Akbar presented the keynote paper on digitized question paper method at the seminar.
Mostafizur urged all to be united on the education sector as it is a backbone of the nation and the sector needs to be made free from any sorts of malpractices for greater well-being of the country.
“We will welcome ICT-based programme on printing and distribution of question paper to stop the menace of question paper leakage,” he added.
