Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud said he will work for easing digital act aimed at lessening the annoyance of the journos. He disclosed it while exchanging views with the journos of Chattogram on Tuesday morning at Chattogram Circuit House. The minister sought cooperation of the journos to ease annoyance of the journos over the act.
He also discuss the matters relating to online portal and online TV which is the fact of the present situation . He said the expansion of portal and online TV across the world is a pact but these online medias should follow the policies of journalism as per law of the land.
He also emphasised the need of proper policy and registration of these online portal and TVs. He also vows for implementing the 9th wage board as early as possible. Minister also assures the TV journos for inclusion in the next wage board. To a question of a journos about non implementation of wage board by the respective newspaper, the Minister said ‘govt will monitor the matter with cautiously’. Among others acting President of Chattogram City Awami League Mahtabuddin Chowdhury, CCC Mayor A J M Nasir Uddin, South District AL President Moslem Uddin , Chairman of Chattogram District Council MA Salam, Secretary of South District AL Mofizur Rahman were present on the occasion.
