The Education Ministry is going to bring the 36,000 educational institutions under digital monitoring system with a view to imparting quality education across the country.
The system will be effective from January next year. The name of the digital monitoring system is ‘Peer Inspection.’
The motto thereof is to implement SDG-4 for making the education system world standard and to build skilled manpower in the country’s interest.
The Directorate of Inspection and Audit (DIA) of the Education Ministry issued a direction for the heads of the 36,000 educational institutions to register their website for giving information.
As per the direction, the educational institutions must record their teachers and students’ presence and other information about the institutions regularly.
The heads of the educational institutions are responsible for uploading the information. The District Officer of the DIA will take care of his own district.
The institutions must give students, parents and another guardians’ name, present and permanent addresses with mobile phone numbers on the website. The students who are above 18 have to provide their information as per the national identity card.
Teachers, employees and members of the Managing Committee’ information also have to be uploaded on website so that the DIA officials can contact with them if needs.
The DIA officials will inspect the educational institutions if they get severe irregularities and will inform it to the top bosses of the Ministry.
The institutions also have to provide the information about the present situation of the sanitation system, classroom, auditorium, library, laboratory and computer lab.
Joint-Director of DIA Bipul Chandra Sarker said the Ministry distributed work among the DIA district level officials to start the activities of the Peer Inspection. “It will reduce corruption and other irregularities in the institutions and the DIA could get academic and financial information in detail.”
 “We have also arranged several trainings to make the DIA officials conscious about the new system. We have also plan to train the head of every educational institutions so that they can perform their duties properly,” he said.
