The three-day-long ‘Digital Innovation Fair-2015’ will begin here at Collegiate School playground Wednesday.
Latest ICT products, multi-media classroom, mobile banking and e-learning items will be put on display in around 40 stalls at the fair.
District Administration will arrange the fair in collaboration with Ministry of Science and ICT and Prime Minister’s office, A2I with a view to encouraging people to use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for building a ‘Digital Bangladesh’.
Deputy Commissioner Mejbah Uddin Chowdhury disclosed this at a press briefing at his conference hall in the city today (Tuesday). He said the fair is a step towards providing extensive citizen services to the citizen.
Through this fair, citizens from district levels will avail the scope of getting aware of the e-services at their doorsteps.
Besides, they would get to experience some important and regular services in-venue to understand the mechanics and advantages of these electronically transformed services.
Such services have reduced time of transaction and made the process fairly simple and transparent with most efficiency towards public satisfaction.
Vice-chancellor of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology Prof Rafiqul Alam Beg will formally inaugurate the fair tomorrow afternoon as the chief guest.
