A three day ‘Divisional Digital Innovation and District Branding Fair-2017’ began on Saturday. Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Division Shubir Kishor Chowdhury inaugurated the fair at the local gymnasium this morning as the chief guest.
Divisional Commissioner Office in association with Access to Information Programme of Prime Minister office organized the fair.
A discussion was also held on the occasion with Divisional Commissioner GM Saleh Uddin in the chair.
Vice Chancellor of Jatyia Kabi Nazrul Islam University Professor Dr Mohit Ul Alam , DIG of Police (Mymensingh Range) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Deputy Commissioner Md Khalilur Rahman and Zila Parisad Chairman Professor Yousuf Khan Pathan , among others, addressed it.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Muzammel Haque delivered welcome speech while Shubir Kishor Chowdhury narrated the objectives of the fair.
The chief guest said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is firmly committed to build digital Banglsadesh. To achieve the goals she (Sheikh Hasina) has been working round the clock, he added.
Earlier a rally brought out from the town hall ground that ended the Gymnasium premises. A total of 36 stalls have been set up at the fair from four districts of the division.
