Digital Innovation Fair begins in Khulna

A three-day Digital Innovation Fair-2018 kicked off today at Khulna Circuit house ground here aimed at making people aware about e-technologies and e-services and reach government services to the people’s doorstep.
With the cooperation of Access to Information (A2I) project of Prime Minister’s Office, Khulna divisional administration organised the fair. Parliament member of Bagerhat-3 constituency Talukdar Abdul Khaleque inaugurated the fair by cutting ribbon and releasing balloons as the chief guest with divisional commissioner Lokman Hossain Mia in the chair. Parliament member of Khulna-2 constituency Mizanur Rahman Mizan, KDA chairman Brigadier general Md Ahmedul Kabir addressed the function as special guests while additional divisional commissioner (General) Md Faruk Hossain delivered the welcome speech.
The chief guest Khaleque said the country has achieved tremendous success in the digitization process for reaching services to the people’s door steps quickly and in a hassle free manner.
He said people will get digital services like e-governance, e-education, e-agriculture, e-health, e-admission, e-banking, e-outsourcing and other services easily from respective government departments during the fair.
Deputy Commissioner Amin-ul-Ahsan said, “Once Digital Bangladesh was a dream for us, but today the dream has come true. Through new innovative technologies, our country will move forward.”
A total of 77 department and organizations has set up 80 stalls under five pavilions in the fair.
The fair will remain open for all from 10am to 8pm.
