The three-day long Digital Innovative Fair-2015 concluded on Saturday evening at Chittagong MA Aziz stadium premises . State Minister for Land Saifuzzaman chowdhury Babar graced the concluding session as chief guest.
The chief guest said government will set up a Cyber City in Bakalia of the port city and Hi-Tech Park at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) area under Raozan upazila very shortly at a cost of Tk.2000 cr.. He said in the meantime, a team of ICT division visited the site of High tech Park in Raozan . The minister also emphasises the need of IT to sustain in the global competition .
Chittagong District Administration organized the fair under the project of Access to Information (A2I) of Prime Minister Office (PMO).
Mentioning that Chittagong is an important part of Digital Bangladesh, the state minister said the Cyber City would be established on some 98 acres land in Bakalia and the High-tech Park would get 300 acres land in CUET.
He also declared that Digital Computer Lab would be installed in every school within next two years so that the students can attain knowledge about the information technology at the beginning of the education.
Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Mezbah Uddin presided over the concluding session of the fair, sources said.
