Digital case against Nur, 5 others, submission of report deferred

The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday fixed February 18 for submission of a probe report on Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) former Vice-President Nurul Haque Nur and five others in a case filed under the Digital Security Act.
Magistrate Nivana Khair Jessy of the CMM Court fixed the new date as Kotwali Zonal Team Police Inspector (unarmed) Md Wahiduzzaman, and Investigation Officer of the case, failed to submit the report on Thursday.
On September 21 last year, a DU student lodged the case with the Kotwali Police Station of the city against six people including former VP Nur.
Other five accused are Hassan Al Mamun, Nazmul Hassan, Md Saiful Islam, Nazmul Huda and Abdullahel Baqi.
Earlier on September 20, the student filed another case with Lalbagh Police Station against the said accused in which Hassan Al Mamun was made the prime accused.
