Digging free-style: This is Nawabpur Road; an ancient and most vital road in Old Dhaka City, which is associated with several important business hubs, including Shankhari Potti and Gulistan area. Especially, the country’s largest hardware and electric goods market is situated in this area. This busy road often remains jammed with buses, auto-rickshaws, rickshaws, human drawn carts, and foot traffic. But at present, the potholed and dilapidated road is causing additional sufferings to the commuters. Different utility service providers have dug the road in a freestyle manner and rainy water made the situation dangerous. Commuters, particularly the businessmen and shoppers, find movement from one place to another through the road quite uncomfortable. But the authority concerned remains indifferent.
