Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed was optimistic about the upcoming Zimbabwe tour, but he also reckoned that it won’t be easy for the Tigers to win the series.
Bangladesh clinched a full series that they played last year on Zimbabwe soil in July 2021. However, Taskin believes it will be difficult to replicate that result this time.
“I’m hopeful for good results. But it’s difficult to win against them on their soil. Last year we played, they gave us tough competition in every match. It will be difficult to win this time too. Of course, our aim will be to win the series. But it won’t be easy,” said Taskin.
Taskin also revealed that his personal goals will always remain the same as the latter is keen to contribute to the team’s success.
“My goals will remain the same. As before, I will try to give the best and contribute to the team,”
“Working on new techniques. But everything will depend on what kind of wicket there will be, how to bowl – that’s all,” he added.
Bangladesh team including the new captain Nurul Hasan Sohan flew to Zimbabwe last night on July 26.
