A differently abled child has been raped allegedly by an 18-year-old in Chatkhil upazila of Noakhali.
The victim’s mother filed a case under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act against Miraz Hossain (18), with Chatkhil Police Station this morning, said Md Anwarul Islam, officer-in-charge of the police station.
Miraz went into hiding after the incident, our Noakhali correspondent reports quoting the OC.
According to the case statement, Miraz took the nine-year-old girl to a betel nut orchard near her house around 3:00pm on October 21 and raped her when her mother was out of home for work.
The girl later disclosed the incident to her mother, according to the statement.
OC Md Anwarul Islam also said the minor was sent to Noakhali General Hospital for medical test.
