Different sports federations and bodies including Bangladesh Sports Journalist Association (BSJA) expressed deep shock at the death of noted journalist and president of the pro-Awami League faction of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Altaf Mahmud.
The BSJA prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Altaf Mahmud, executive editor of the Bangla daily Destiny, died at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital here this morning at the age of 65.
