Diarrhea disease has taken a serious turn in Jessore and a total of 450 patients got admitted in Jessore Medical College Hospital ( JMH) in the last 16 days.
Hospital sources said, a total of 47 patients got admitted at Jessore Medical College Hospital on February 4 while 25 were found admitted till 2pm on Thursday.
Dr Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, civil surgeon, Jessore told that he visited Jessore Medical College Hospital on Wednesday. ‘Patients were affected with diarrheal diseases due to Rota Virus,’ he added.
JMH sources said a total of 41 diarrhea patients were admitted in the hospital on January 31 and 32 on February 1, 53 on February 2, 44 on February 3, 47 on February 4 and 13 and 42 on January 19 and 20 respectively.
Dr Shymal Krishna Saha, acting superintendent, JMCH two medical teams were engaged in the hospital to treat the patients.
